SL Map API lite

As I’ve been mentioning recently, I’ve been revamping my old Map API using eventful.com’s API as a data source. Currently, there’s only 1 call, http://services.signpostmarv.name/secondlife/mapapi/.

Call by Region

http://services.signpostmarv.name/secondlife/mapapi/foo/ where foo is the name of your region of choice.

Call by global co-ordinates

http://services.signpostmarv.name/secondlife/mapapi/x-y/.

Results

  • If you make a call by name for a region that’s not in my cache, you’ll get an HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found error.
  • If a call is successful, you’ll be redirect to the appropriate image- held on Linden Lab’s servers, as this is a lite version of my old SL Map API, it won’t have any of the image processing that the old one had (e.g. zoom levels up to 1 region per pixel)
