SL Map API
Following on from my previous post, I’ve now kinda got my SL Map API back to where it was. I’m still not doing all the image processing yet, and there’s two reasons for this:
- the whole process takes quite a long time to complete, as well as taking up a substantial amount of bandwidth and storage space.
- As many people have noted, Linden Lab haven’t posted all regions to eventful.com (never mind the ones they’ve posted several times).
The HTML and SMIL calls will redirect you to a cached copy. It’s a bad idea to call the cached copy directly, as the cache location might change, or I might need to nuke the cache from time to time.
New Calls
Documentation on my SL Maps API can be under second-life-region-list/api-documentation/.
In-world Map
I’ve built an in-world map that uses the revamped SMIL calls, which you’ll be able to see if you pop along to my Office Hours
